Description

Occupying an enviable nook above a secret shingle beach, a holiday of wild swimming, beach bonfires and starry night skies awaits you at this utterly unique waterside bolthole. You can even launch your boat at Rock and moor it just outside. When it comes to wow-factor locations, The Boathouse delivers on every level. Here you can dive into a world of Swallows and Amazons adventure.

Your holiday will begin when your tyres leave the tarmac and venture down the dusty private track that winds its way through Cornish farmland. A leafy lane rounds a corner to reveal your very own coastal oasis and the glistening water of the Camel Estuary. Two towering Scots Pine trees mark the spot for your stay in paradise. Wrapped in a coastal green cladding on the edge of the water, you will see why this former boat house coined its name.

With a wild meadow peppered with coastal flowers behind and a shingle beach revealed at low tide in front, children and four-legged friends won't be short of holiday adventures. The living spaces open out to a generous balcony that sits right above the water. Here you can enjoy al fresco living and get your daily dose of fresh sea air. On rainy days, bask in the warmth of the conservatory as you watch the rise and fall of the water outside. At night, the twinkling lights of Padstow will be visible on the horizon.

Daylight streams into the open plan living space through the large, glass folding doors that open up to the balcony. You will be hard pressed to find a better view from a kitchen sink! Here, you can prepare holiday feasts and picnics, to be enjoyed down on the beach or amongst the wild grasses of the meadow. Sinkable sofas provide the perfect spot to rest weary feet after a day exploring the coastline.

Three cosy bedrooms provide the setting for an uninterrupted night's sleep with the sound of water lapping against the shore providing your blissful night-time soundtrack. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and views across the water. A large family bathroom includes a deep bathtub for time amongst the bubbles and a steamy hot shower. At The Boathouse, slipping into holiday mode will take just mere moments.
