A visit to Cornwall in spring is a great time to take in the changing colours and beauty of the coastline and countryside. Here we share some of our favourite activities to make the most of your spring time holiday.
1. Experience Cornwall in full bloom
Boconnoc House near Lostwithiel will be hosting a Spring Flower Show on 07 and 08 April. Wander around the extensive grounds taking in the gorgeous spring blossoms, trade stands and show gardens. To find out more click here.
2. Hunt for Easter eggs
Over the Easter holidays the National Trust are running children's activities in some of their most stunning locations. Lanhydrock House near Bodmin is holding an Easter Trail from 24 March to 15 April. Follow the clues around the beautiful gardens and woodland to claim a delicious prize.
For those with a sweet tooth and a sense of adventure, what better place to look for egg-shaped treasure than the unspoilt village of Boscastle? Head to the historic fishing port between 30 March and 01 April for the annual Easter egg hunt.
3. Sample the best local produce
On 02 April, the charming market town of Wadebridge is holding a Good Food Day. Featuring many local and regional producers, you can explore the quaint streets of Wadebridge and enjoy quality food and craft stalls. There will also be musicians adding to the holiday ambience.
4. Explore the Cornish coast and countryside by foot
Boscastle is holding a walking week, running from 15 to 20 April. The walks take in everything from the very best of the Cornish coastline to wonderful walks through woods and streams. To find out more click here.
5. Enjoy some music
