You will be able to spot locations made famous in Doc Martin and The Fisherman's Friends movie. With the South West Coast Path on your doorstep, you will be spoilt for choice for scenic coastal walks.

The lesser-known hamlet of Port Gaverne is also within easy reach. Here, you can enjoy a beach day, spot dolphins and seals from the headland and enjoy live music at the Pilchards Café . For those who enjoy being on or in the water, Cornish Rock Tors offer coasteering, kayaking, paddleboarding and wild swimming here. You can also easily hop on the South West Coast Path and explore some of the more scenic stretches of coastline in the UK, taking in hidden bays and picturesque villages.

Foodies will be in heaven at Peswar. Just minutes away are two restaurants by celebrity chef Nathan Outlaw; The Fish Kitchen and Restaurant Nathan Outlaw. For a Cornish pub experience, choose from The Golden Lion (featured in Doc Martin and the Fisherman's Friends movie) or the Port Gaverne Hotel and Restaurant, both within walking distance. It is easy to come and go from Peswar, making it a fantastic base to explore the best that North Cornwall has to offer. You can be at the popular surfing beach of Polzeath in under fifteen minutes or the estuary village of Rock in twenty. Here you can partake in a number of watersports or hop on the ferry to explore the harbour town of Padstow. Walk to the beach

Head down the steps onto The Terrace. Take a right and hop down the steps that bring you out on New Road opposite the public car park. Head through the car park and onto the South West Coast Path and enjoy the scenic walk down to Port Isaac harbour and beach. Door to sand is less than five-minutes. Alternatively, head right and down the hill to the lesser-known beach at Port Gaverne, perfect for sea swims and watersports. This will take you five-minutes.
