For a family beach day, head down to Rock Beach and enjoy the golden sand dunes and calm estuary waters. From here you can walk along to Daymer Bay (both beaches are dog-friendly all year round) or hop in the car for a surf session at Polzeath Beach, just a ten-minute drive away. Those who enjoy walking will be in their element with a network of footpaths close by and easy access to the most scenic stretches of the South West Coast Path.
If you want to get out on the water, you will be spoilt for choice. From the Rock pontoon you can catch a sea safari and discover Cornwall’s stunning coastline and marine life. There is also stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, water skiing and wakeboarding to try. You can also catch the passenger ferry and explore the bustling fishing harbour of Padstow.
From 7 Lowenna Manor you are within easy reach of some excellent cafés, delicatessens and restaurants. Take a morning stroll with your dog to nearby Porthilly Beach and stop off at Fee's on the way back to pick up fresh bread and provisions for breakfast. Stock up on freshly baked pasties en route to the beach from the popular Malcolm Barnecutts bakery. For a night off from the cooking, try the excellent Dining Room, Upper Deck or The Mariners (run by Paul Ainsworth), all within walking distance of 7 Lowenna Manor.
