Maidenover occupies a secluded position overlooking rolling green fields. From here you can take the footpath across the fields and past the golf course to the beach.
Located at the end of a no-through road, away from the hustle and bustle of the Rock Road, Maidenover is a wonderfully tranquil place for a holiday.
Here you're just a leisurely stroll or short drive away from some of Cornwall's most beautiful beaches. Porthilly Cove is located around the corner from Rock Beach and is a hidden treasure well worth exploring. Rock Beach lies next to Daymer Bay, linking to it on the sand at low tide. Both beaches are fantastic for family beach days, with plenty of soft golden sand for picnics, barbecues and beach games, as well as dunes and rock pools to explore. The calm bathing waters provide a safe environment for a paddle or early morning swim.
If you want to explore the other side of the estuary, take the ferry from Rock to Padstow. Walk around the beautiful harbour and if you get peckish, enjoy some Rick Stein fish and chips. Just five minutes from Rock by car is the popular surfing beach at Polzeath, where lessons and board hire are available.
If you enjoy golf, you'll be in an ideal position. The popular St Enodoc Golf Club has two beautiful courses to choose from, both with stunning estuary views.
